And the rugged beauty of the Forks of the Salmon is hard to beat!As an added treat, we will be touring through the Avenue of the Giants. That's right, it's time again for the 28th Annual BMW NorCal Range of Light Gypsy Tour, a rally like no other! Why? Because this is no stationary rally. This is a riding rally, a two day event conceived for true riding fans, by true riding fans. Riders will be treated to exceptional road and optional GS routes, showcasing some of the best riding and scenery in the West. And be sure to bring fresh tires as you can expect between 300-400 miles each day. Our destination? You won't know until the day before. This is a closely guarded secret - all we can tell you is the start point.
Riders can look forward to:
The Range of Light Gypsy Tour is part adventure, part test piece, part endurance event, part riding tour, part camp-out, and 100% fun. So register now and join those ready for the best rally in the West! This year we start at The Napa Valley Expo, in Napa, CA.
And as with all BMW NorCal events, riders of all brands of motorcycles are welcome to ride in the ROL, as long as the bikes are street legal.
(A note on the shirt pricing. We are working on securing better pricing for the shirts. If/when we reduce the price, you will be refunded any difference in the cost.)
This campout will take the club to new heights, 10,000 feet, to be exact, near the crest of the Sierra Nevada just over Tioga Pass. Now being this high in September can be interesting in the Sierra. We can get high temps and sunburns, or overnight frost. That's part of the adventure. But don't worry, we will be paying careful attention to the weather leading up to this campout. What we can guarantee is great riding and stunning views.
The ride starts at Country Waffles in Livermore, breakfast at 8, leaving at 9.
And remember to gas up before you arrive at breakfast so we can get on it right after breakfast.
It's October again so break out your lederhosen, grab your stein, and get ready for some fun! This year's Oktoberfest General Meeting and campout is back at Liberty Glen campground. Located in the arid hills above over the lovely Lake Sonoma, this campground feels remote but is ideally situated to the Bay Area and is only accessible by great motorcycle roads. So bring your appetite for fun Sonoma County riding as well as a great German influenced dinner and cold drink, you're not going to want to miss this one...
For this Oktoberfest the Board of Directors and some members are cooking and putting on the spread for the Membership.
Dinner for members is free! But in order to be confirmed for the dinner, you must register by end of day, Friday, October 19th.
Non members, add $15 to the camping fee for dinner.
